(Namespace: start)

These are the psychogenic means by which I learned to induce my amnesia and form and maintain Abyss. They were once the only way I could survive, but now, they've become a really bad idea.

There are a variety of ways I keep parts of myself divided from me and feeling like other people so that I don't have to engage with them. All of them are traps. Some require more care than others to avoid.

Under this theory, some start are autojects of other headmates or groups of headmates, and exist as protective shields for the “real” ones. Really all of them are real, all of them have burdens of some kind, they just make themselves similar to each other so that the stronger and more stable ones can serve as camouflage for the ones with

Each of my headmates holds a particular trauma, or sometimes just extreme stress and fatigue. At the time I formed this theory, I thought that was all there was to it, but now I believe it's just one of several ways of looking at it.

(Namespace: start)

Redshift is a pervasive and far-reaching experiential phenomenon in our system that affects and/or describes the whole of its emotional functioning and dissociative mechanisms. The basic idea is that all of our suffering is caused by more of us getting crammed in here when there's already no room left.

I have several theories on how we function.

The list below is ordered from most recent to oldest, but the older theories are not necessarily outdated. I just might be looking at the same truths from different persepctives at different times. (I'm probably especially prone to this sort of error, given

This was my first theory about how we are organized.

At this time, I was only aware of Lucy, Alice, and Daisy. I was also sort of aware of Singer, but thought she had died when the others burst out of her; I didn't yet realize she herself was also still there.
