A “sysmed” (short for “system medicalist”) is a system exclusionist.
Controversy
The term “sysmed” was coined by analogy to “transmed,” which refers, essentially, to someone who thinks you need a doctor's note to justify being transgender. Hence, a sysmed is someone who thinks you need a doctor's note to justify being a system.
The uneasy consensus, in plural spaces and transgender spaces alike, is that drawing this implicit comparison between plural identity and transgender identity is potentially minimizing of either or both. It's probably better to stick with calling “sysmeds” system exclusionists.
