Passive influence

Passive influence is essentially the same thing as an intrusion, except that where “intrusion” has an intrinsically negative connotation, “passive influence” does not. Calling it “passive influence” may also imply it's happening continuously over a period of time, as opposed to occurring for only a brief moment.
