“Multiple” can mean one of two things. It has one very broad meaning and one more specific meaning.
The broader meaning of “multiple” is simply as a synonym for plural. Median and mediple systems are multiple in this sense.
The more specific meaning of “multiple” refers to systems where the constituent headmates experience a felt sense of being completely different people. They may or may not have a constant conscious awareness of the fact that there are others who share their body. They syscovery or may not even be aware of it at all.
