She introduced herself to me in a dream as the one who controls the switches. I had a hard time finding out anything about her after that, at first. Little did I know that was because she was actually me, and she was introducing herself to Sophie in that dream (who is also me, currently).
Also, the way she introduced herself was misleading. I don't control the switches. She's just the part of me that likes to think I do. There's a lot of denial wrapped up in Kate. Or, well… there was. After a quick dunk in Abyss, she's been wising up.

Kate was created as a perfectionist to appease our mother. She carried us through our academic life. She has since descended once into Abyss and resurfaced. She and Sophie want to work together to get the rest of us out of there.
