A median system is one where the constituent headmates feel in some sense more like the “same” person than they do in a multiple system, but not so much like the same person as to consider themselves a singlet. They may consider themselves parts or facets of a gestalt. There may be, but is not necessarily, a lot of continuous blending or blurring between headmates. Medianness can be thought of as partial fusion.
