A headspace is an envisioned world which in some way represents the structure of one's mind. It is not an exclusively plural concept; a singlet may also have a headspace, and some people do not have a headspace even among plurals.

Any mental image might be considered a headspace; it might be dreamt about, invented consciously and intentionally, hallucinated, seen in intrusive thoughts, etc. It may or may not be where a person's headmates live, and/or a place that they can go to or traverse.

A headspace might have layers.
