====== System-hopping ====== (Namespace: [[plural glossary:start]]) ^ Type of term | Possible function of a [[system]] | ^ Synonyms or near-synonyms | None | ^ Antonyms or near-antonyms | None | System-hopping is a capability or claimed capability of some [[system|systems]] to admit travellers into or out of the system, from or unto //other// systems (existing in //other [[body|bodies]]//). This capability might be believed to be supernatural in nature, e.g. achieved via telepathy, or it might be explained organically, e.g. in terms of [[parogenic]] [[factive]] [[introject|introjection]] of the [[source]] system's [[headmate|headmate(s)]] into the destination system. ===== Controversy ===== Much of the [[plural]] community is skeptical of system-hopping, particularly in cases where it's proposed to involve supernatural elements. On the other hand, system-hoppers often experience this skepticism as a form of [[system exclusionist|system exclusionism]]. It is a known and very unfortunate fact that some people fake the ability to system-hop in order to deceive, exploit, manipulate, and/or take advantage of other systems.
