A median [[system]] is one where the constituent [[headmate|headmates]] feel in //some// sense more like the "same" person than they do in a [[multiple]] system, but not so much like the same person as to consider themselves a [[singlet]]. They may consider themselves [[part|parts]] or [[facet|facets]] of a [[gestalt]]. There may be, but is not necessarily, a lot of continuous [[blending]] or [[blurring]] between headmates. Medianness can be thought of as partial [[fusion]].
