====== Grayout ====== (Namespace: [[plural glossary:start]]) ^ Type of term | Possible function of a [[system]] | ^ Synonyms or near-synonyms | [[Blending]], [[blurring]], [[dissociation]], [[memory sharing]], [[switching]] | ^ Antonyms or near-antonyms | [[Blackout]], [[partitionary]] | A grayout, or greyout, is essentially a much less severe form of a [[blackout]], so mitigated by a grace period between [[fronter|fronters]]. [[Memory sharing]] has time to occur, but it is still a [[switching|switch]], and some details do not make the jump. A grayout can feel like losing your train of thought, or being pushed away from it as if to protect you, or something being on the tip of your tongue, or a sudden drastic mood swing where you also forget for a moment what you were just doing or where you were just going.
